Two New Chromanone Acid Derivatives from Calophyllum inophyllum

Two new chromanone acid derivatives, calophinophyllins A and B (1 and 2), together with a known one (3), were isolated from Calophyllum inophyllum. The structures of the new compounds were determined by NMR and HR-ESI-MS experiments, as well as by comparison of their data with the published values. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity. None displayed measurable activity against alpha-glucosidase.
