Canada issues code of practice to reduce exposure to spray foam MDI

The Canadian government has issued a code of practice designed to reduce exposure to five types of methylene diphenyl diisocyanates (MDI) contained in spray polyurethane foam (SPF) products. The code of practice, issued on 29 August, provides packaging, labelling and other recommendations aimed at promoting the proper use and handling of low-pressure, two-component SPF products containing MDI. The code may be adopted by manufacturers, importers and others who sell such products.
