A Swedish chemicals agency-funded (Kemi) report has recommended creating a 'voluntary commitment platform' on issues of concern highlighted under the UN's chemicals programme, to encourage more concerted global action. The UN's Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management (Saicm) has listed eight 'issues of concern' since 2009, including chemicals in products, lead in paint, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) and endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs).
