EU Commission proposes REACH restriction on uses of DMF

The European Commission has proposed adding N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) to the Annex XVII REACH restriction list with a two-year transitional period for all industrial sectors. The purpose of the restriction is to reduce the risk to workers from the substance which is used as a solvent in chemical reactions.
