Formaldehyde producers find only 0.1% of workers exposed beyond legal value

Workplace exposure to formaldehyde emissions in Europe is below target occupational exposure limits (OELs) 99.9% of the time, the formaldehyde production sector has reported. On 9 July, Formacare, the formaldehyde sector group of Cefic, published the latest results of a campaign to implement an OEL of 0.3ppm over eight hours, and a short-term exposure limit of 0.6ppm.
