Echa head Bjorn Hansen to leave in 2022

The European Commission is to begin the process of recruiting a new executive director for Echa following Bjorn Hansen’s announcement of his departure from the agency on 31 March next year. Mr Hansen, formerly head of DG Environment’s chemicals unit, took up his position at the agency in January 2018. Prior to that, Geert Dancet held the post of executive director for two terms from Echa's beginning in 2007.
