Increased ethanol exposure comes with minimal serious health risks - RIVM

The expanded use of ethanol-containing hand sanitiser during the pandemic has come with a minimal increase in serious health risks, an assessment by the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has found. The Dutch ministries for health (VWS), social affairs and employment (SZW) tasked RIVM with assessing whether people have a greater chance of contracting serious diseases as a result of ethanol exposure during the pandemic.
