Germany is seeking evidence on its restriction proposal for 4,4’-isopropylidenediphenol (bisphenol A) and structurally related bisphenols of similar concern for the environment. It will also be investigating the possibility for substitution, potential alternatives and their socio-economic impacts. Information on the lifecycle, emissions to the environment and the use in articles and occurrence in polymers is also of interest.
