Sweden to drop Article 95 exemption for disinfectants

The Swedish chemicals agency, Kemi, has announced it will end a temporary exemption that allowed disinfectant manufacturers to source chemicals from unapproved suppliers. Last year, the country freed disinfectants from a requirement under the EU biocidal products Regulation (BPR) to only source biocidal active substances from suppliers on the Article 95 list – a register of approved companies.
