Industry calls for enhanced cooperation with next Echa head

Several industry associations have said they would urge Echa’s next executive director to boost the levels of cooperation with stakeholders as work on the chemicals strategy actions gain pace. At the end of June, the agency announced that Dr Bjorn Hansen would be retiring from his role as its executive director in March and that other directors would also be leaving. The news comes as Echa has stepped away from non-legislative projects and collaborations with trade associations because of a resource strain.
