Canada details approach used to address consumer product risks

The Canadian government has laid out the five main principles that guide its approach in determining what actions to take when addressing consumer product risks. Release of the Instrument Choice Framework (ICF) for the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) came in response to industry requests seeking to better understand how the government makes risk management decisions under the Consumer Product Safety programme, the government said on 11 June.
