EU authorities extend creosote product approvals

EU authorities have agreed to prolong the authorisations of biocidal products containing creosote until after the substance itself has undergone a reassessment. Creosote’s approval under the biocidal products Regulation (BPR) expires on 31 October 2021. But most authorisations of products containing the chemical will run out before then.
