Taiwan tightens restrictions on PFOA and POSF

Taiwan’s EPA has added dicofol to its list of toxic substances and moved perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride (POSF) to class 1, its highest rank. The amendments were made under the country’s main chemical law – the Toxic and Chemical Substances of Concern Control Act (TCSCCA) – bringing it in line with the latest updates to the UN's Stockholm Convention on persistent organic pollutants (POPs).
