摘要

Japan's governmental departments are approaching the reduction of animal testing in risk assessment with varying degrees of enthusiasm and investment, say NGOs - a situation that could leave the country out of step with others, they say. Troy Seidle, vice president, research and toxicology at Humane Society International (HSI), told Chemical Watch: "As more countries embrace policy changes aimed at ending or minimising animal testing, it is sure to have a knock-on effect on Japan, particularly among regional trading partners."
