Proposed criteria for 'low concern polymers' revised ahead of EU meeting

The European Commission has circulated a revised version of its polymers of low concern (PLCs) proposal, including an exclusion based on water absorption and an EU list of polyester reactants, ahead of a meeting of member states on 22 June. PLCs are likely to be exempt from new polymer registration requirements currently under development. They are expected to form part of the REACH revision mandated by the EU chemicals strategy.
