Companies face reporting hurdles as TSCA CDR deadline draws near

Manufacturers subject to TSCA chemical data reporting (CDR) requirements face a number of challenges as the 30 November reporting deadline draws closer, industry attorneys have said. For companies responsible for reporting under the quadrennial scheme, this is the first reporting period under amended TSCA and a revised CDR rule that was updated in March. That means new requirements, including changes for claiming confidential business information (CBI) and shifting reporting thresholds. And in some cases it can be difficult to obtain information from chemical suppliers, especially for those that are new to the process.
