HSE to reopen grandfathering procedure for delayed UK REACH submissions

Britain’s Health and Safety Executive has said it will periodically "turn on" its grandfathering facility in the future to allow companies that missed the end-April deadline for existing EU REACH registrations to be recognised under the independent UK legislation. In an attempt to encourage potential UK registrants to come to the fore in larger numbers, the agency switched on the grandfathering process for two days from the morning of 30 June until midnight on 1 July, allowing some delayed entries to be logged into the system.
