In brief: ArcelorMittal Europe appoints new CEO

Geert Van Poelvoorde, former CEO of ArcelorMittal Europe’s flat steel division, was appointed new CEO of the whole European unit of ArcelorMittal Europe, according to the official statement. He succeeded Aditya Mittal, who was appointed CEO of ArcelorMittal, succeeding his father Lakshmi Mittal. Geert Van Poelvoorde is also an executive vice president of ArcelorMittal and since 2015 president of EUROFER, the European Steel Association, Expert learnt.
