Italian rebar down again, producers hope for trend reversal soon

Italian rebar prices declined again in late February. However, local rebar producerswill try to change the trend amid upward moments in Turkish scrap segment andslightly improved demand. This week, both deal and offer prices for Italian rebar are predominantly set atEUR 280-290/t EXW, base, (EUR 545-555/t EXW for 12 mm, B450C), which isEUR 10/t less compared to the levels seen last week. Sources say that from somemills it is possible to obtain even EUR 540/t EXW.
