FAS presents TMK conditions to protect competition on merger with ChelPipe

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has commented on ChelPipe acquisition by TMK, one of the largest pipe producers. The body approved the deal, adding a set of conditions to carry out. Having reviewed TMK’s request to buy ChelPipe assets, the FAS concluded that the deal could weigh on competition in large-diameter and seamless pipes in certain circumstances, and said the deal was only possible with a number of conditions.
