The start of the year was marked with a lack of clarity in the CIS export pig iron segment. While buyers on main trading outlets generally refrain from accepting the terms, the suppliers push their price idea to record highs. The bullish sentiment, provoked by the galloping increase in scrap and steel tags, which ruled the day globally up to the end of last year, spilt into the January price policy of CIS pig iron producers.
