In brief: Tenaris bags line pipe contract for climate project in Norway

Tenaris, a world’s leading supplier of pipes for the energy sector, received an order from Norway energy operator Equinor the supply of pipes for carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Norway. Under the agreement, Tenaris will produce 105 km of 12 inch Carbon Manganese seamless line pipe at its Dalmine mill (1 million tpy) in Italy for CO2 transportation intended for the Northern Lights project, Metal Expert learnt. This order will help Tenaris strengthen its position and develop a product portfolio for the “energy transition agenda,” the company said.
