摘要

Life safety systems, such as fire detection systems, save lives. Their importance is such that they are heavily regulated, with standards relating to product design and manufacture, system design and installation. However, installing a fire detection system that meets all the standards is not always sufficient to ensure that building operators get best value in the longer term.
