Cutting stations are an essential piece of equipment for cutting accurately and safely on-site, but key health and safety considerations have been overlooked in some cutting station designs, which could put professionals at greater risk of noise induced hearing loss (NIHL), hand-arm vibration syndrome (HAVS, also known as white finger), carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and respiratory problems. Worryingly, these issues are not limited to those using the equipment but could also have an impact on the health and wellbeing of those working in close proximity
