Nurses: A Voice to Lead

The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has unveiled a new and improved format for its International Nurses Day (IND).This year, on 12 May, ICN will celebrate nurses and the many ways they contribute to achieving the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the theme 'Nurses: a voice to lead-achieving the SDGs'. The event will be hosted on a dedicated website (http://www.icnvoicetolead.com), that will gather all the resources developed by ICN needed for nurses, allied health workers, policy makers, and the general public around the world to recognise the pivotal role nurses play within their communities, as well as globally. Composed of resources and evidence, four posters, a video and an interactive feature for nurses to share their experiences via social media, this year marks a turning point in ICN's traditional take on this important date.
