摘要

SHELL PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (SPDC) has sold its interests in two assets in Nigeria to African energy firm Aiteo for US$1.7bn. The sale of oil mining lease (OML) 29 and the Nembe Creek Trunk Line by Shell's Nigerian subsidiary has been rumoured for some time. The deal, now confirmed, includes the interests in the assets owned by Shell's SPDC partners, Total E&P Nigeria and Agip, giving Aiteo a 45% stake. The sale has been approved by Nigeria's federal government, which owns the remaining interest through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
