North Dakota oil output up for first time since November

Washington-North Dakota production averaged nearly 1.05 million b/d in May, up nearly 5,400 b/d from April and the first month-on-month increase since November, the state’s Department of Mineral Resources reported Friday. Despite the modest increase, May production was more than 180,000 b/d below the state’s all-time high monthly average of nearly 1.23 million b/d, set in December 2014.
