New York-Oil futures rose Wednesday after a surprise draw in US distillate stocks lifted prices from earlier lows following the end of an oil workers’ strike in Kuwait. NYMEX May ULSD settled 6.9 cents higher at $1.3322/gal. NYMEX May RBOB settled up 2.69 cents at $1.5068/gal. NYMEX May crude settled up $1.55 at $42.63/b on expiry. The June contract settled $1.71 higher at $44.18/b. ICE June Brent settled up $1.77 at $45.80/b. US distillate stocks fell 3.554 million barrels last week to 159.935 million barrels, US Energy Information Administration oil data showed Wednesday.
