摘要

Tokyo-Mexico expects the fourth phase of its first upstream auction round, comprising 10 deepwater blocks, to be “successful,” given the interest seen from international oil companies for bidding despite low oil prices, Juan Carlos Zepeda, president of the country’s National Hydrocarbons Commission, said this week. “We are expecting [it] to be successful but it is not just [a] naive expectation,” Zepeda said in an interview with Platts in Tokyo. There are 13 companies, including oil majors, that have paid more than $100 million to access data on the blocks, he said.
