Total-led LNG terminal in Cote d’Ivoire to start mid-2018

London—France’s Total and its partners plan to begin operations at their newly sanctioned LNG import facility in Cote d’Ivoire in mid-2018, the company said Friday, as it follows through on a pledge to create more demand for gas by boosting its downstream presence. The floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) will have a capacity of 3 million mt/year and will be stationed near the main economic center of the country at Abidjan.
