Argentina needs $4 billion in gas e&P to cut LNG imports

Buenos Aires-Argentina needs $4 billion to develop natural gas resources to replace imports of LNG over the next three years, a senior official of Neuquen province said as companies like Pampa Energia plan to put money into projects. With this spending, the gas-rich southwestern province could produce “the 30 million cu m/d of that we are missing in three years of development,” Neuquen Energy Minister Alejandro Nicola said in a statement released Thursday.
