Protests pose risk for US pipelines: Enterprise

Washington—Environmental protests, legal battles and potentially stricter regulations have increased the risk and cost of building pipelines nearly everywhere in the US, the CEO of Enterprise Products Partners said Thursday. During the company’s third-quarter 2016 earnings call, Jim Teague said every “pipe in the ground has gone up in value dramatically because of a lot of what’s going on today.”
