Canadian imports of US crude slipped in February

New York-Despite the end of restrictions late last year, US crude oil exports have largely fallen as the arbitrage between the US and Canada-the chief foreign buyer of US crude-has become harder to work. Canada imported just 299,000 b/d of crude from the US in February, down from 333,000 b/d in January, Statistics Canada data released this week shows. The figure has been adjusted to exclude diluent in order to focus on likely light sweet crude flows between Texas, North Dakota and Louisiana, and East Coast Canadian refiners.
