Philippine refiner Petron’s product sales up 8%

Hanoi—Petron, the Philippines’ largest oil refiner and retailer, sold 43.1 million barrels of oil products in the first half of this year, up 8% from the same period of 2013. The refiner’s retail sales in the Philippines increased 10% year on year to 25.1 million barrels over January-June, the company said Wednesday. Petron attributed the higher sales to the company’s ongoing service station expansion program and increased economic activity in the Philippines.
