Petronet LNG to soon start east coast terminal work

Mumbai—India’s Petronet LNG aims to start work on the country’s first east coast LNG terminal to be located at Gangavaram in the southeast state of Andhra Pradesh by April or May this year as almost all the regulatory clearances are in place. Only a no objection certificate, a formality that has to be cleared by the Gangavaram Port Authority and its partner, is pending and once that is available the company can start work, A.K. Balyan, Petronet’s managing director, told reporters on Monday on the sidelines of an oil & gas conference in Mumbai.
