Vietnam’s oil product imports fall 20% in 2013

Hanoi—Vietnam’s imports of oil products trended lower for the second consecutive year in 2013 amid increased domestic production and continued economic weakness. The country imported 7.37 million mt of oil products last year, down 19.9% from 2012, customs data released late last week showed. It imported 9.2 million mt in 2012, down from 10.67 million mt in 2011.
