Singapore—Malaysia’s new oil terminal at Pengerang in southern Johor state is planning to broaden its facilities to store biodiesel and LNG. “We are in the process of applying for all the necessary permits from the authorities to store biodiesel in the future,” Pengerang Independent Terminals CEO Law Say Huat said at the terminal’s official opening on Thursday. Partners in PIT are also looking to set up an LNG trading terminal at Pengerang, and are now working on a feasibility study that is expected to be completed within six months to a year, PIT Chairman Ngau Boon Keat said at the same event.
