Australia’s Origin says LNG project on track

Sydney—The Australia Pacific LNG export project, currently under construction in the eastern state of Queensland, is about 60% complete and remains on track to deliver its first cargo in mid-2015, according to joint venture partner Origin Energy. Origin is the upstream operator of the coalseam gas-based APLNG project, located on Curtis Island off the Queensland port of Gladstone. The project’s downstream operations, which will comprise two production trains with total capacity of 9 million mt/year, will be operated by ConocoPhillips.
