India’s crude oil imports rise 15% in June

Singapore—Latest shipping data received by Platts shows that India’s crude oil imports in June rose by nearly 14.6% year on year and 11% from May to 130.20 million barrels, or an average 4.34 million b/d. Below are some of the highlights for the month: 1. India imported 5.56 million barrels, or an average 185,333 b/d, of crude oil from Iran in June, up 18% year on year but down 48.2% from May. In the first six months of 2014, India imported 54.09 million barrels of crude oil from Iran, up 28.5% from January-June 2013.
