BP shares still struggle after Macondo oil spill

London—Three years after the Gulf of Mexico spill that shook Europe’s number two oil major to its core, BP’s shares are still trading around 30% below their early 2010 pre- Macondo levels. Over the same period oil prices have risen by around 20%, helping BP’s oil major peers in the US to post share price gains of at least that amount and most of its European rivals to see their stock values progress.
