Shell to help develop UAE’s Bab gas field

Abu Dhabi—Shell and the UAE’s state-owned ADNOC are to establish a gas joint venture company with capital of $10 billion to develop the Bab sour gas field, sources familiar with the project said. The sources said the joint venture company would be set up along the lines of the al-Hosn gas joint venture between ADNOC and the US’ Occidental for development of the Shah sour gas field. ADNOC has 60% in al- Hosn and Occidental the remaining 40%.
