Petrobras’ subsalt output hits highs

Brasilia —Petrobras’ subsalt oil output hit record highs for a full month and a single day in November after operational problems that caused a dip in October were fixed, the Brazilian oil giant said. A record 362,300 b/d was produced on November 22, the highest ever for one day, the company said in a statement late Tuesday. The 339,000 b/d average for all of November was also a new high for any month. Petrobras noted in its statement that the way it calculates subsalt output is slightly different to the method used by the national fuel regulatory agency ANP.
