US rig count rises by 8

Houston-The US rig count was 1,762 for the week ended November 15, up by 8 from the prior week, according to Baker Hughes. The latest count includes 1,702 land and 60 offshore, with 370 assigned to gas, 1,385 to oil and 7 to miscellaneous drilling. The rigs were drilling 428 vertical, 220 directional and 1,114 horizontal wells.
