Seychelles invites bids for offshore acreage permits

London-The government of the Seychelles Islands in the Indian Ocean has officially reopened offshore waters to exploration licensing after completing amendments to country's oil laws. Effective from June 1, the national oil company PetroSeychelles is accepting propos- als from qualified oil and gas companies wish- ing to explore for hydrocarbons in the Sey- chelles Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), the government said in a statement on Monday.
