Saudi Arabia's Naimi sees robust future

Dubai-Saudi Arabian Oil Minister Ali Naimi said April 1 that he believed the outlook for oil demand and growth remained positive, despite tough global economic conditions and rising competition for markets from new sources of conventional and unconventional supply. Speaking at the Brookings Doha Center in Qatar, Naimi said that, while growing supplies provided greater depth and stability to mar- kets, "wildly fluctuating energy prices are not in any of our interests-and by that I mean producers and consumers."
