LNG imports not causing Petrobras losses

Rio de Janeiro—As concerns rose that increasing LNG imports bought at high prices on the spot market were causing Petrobras losses, CEO Graca Foster came out fighting. The company was not losing money, she told reporters on January 9. Nor was a gas shortage in the offing. “There will be no lack of gas,” she told Brazilian television news later that evening. “We can import more to attend this demand.”
