PetroChina Guangxi cuts run rate to 73%

State-owned PetroChina’s 12 million mt/year (240,000 b/d) Guangxi refinery in southern Guangxi province has cut its run rate to 73% of nameplate capacity in September, the lowest level this year amid slow domestic demand for oil products. A refinery source said late Monday the refinery plans to process 730,000 mt of crude in September. The run rate is down from 85% in September 2014 and 78% in August.
