Russia’s SPIMEX to test export crude trading

London—Russia’s St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) will start testing the trading mechanism for crude futures of the country’s export grades from November 30, although no actual deals are to take place during the test phase. The potential users of the futures contracts, including Russian crude oil exporters, buyers of Russian crude and brokers, will have access to the tests, it said Friday. SPIMEX expects actual trading to start in the second half of 2016, it said.
