Noc to take over occidental assets in Libya

Cairo-State-owned National Oil Corp. plans to take over the Libyan assets of Occidental Petroleum as the US company seeks to extri- cate itself from the country and the wider Mid- dle East region, a well-placed Libyan source told Platts Monday. NOC is a partner in all of Libya’s oil and gas upstream ventures with international com- panies and manages exports and payments.
