Indonesia launches another ambitious refining plan

Singapore—Indonesia is launching yet another ambitious plan, this time to build four refineries each with capacities ranging between 300,000 b/d to 350,000 b/d, to cut its dependency on oil product imports. The plan was unveiled by the country’s newly-appointed oil and gas director general I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja Puja on Friday. Puja said the government expects to have all four refineries on stream in 10 years.
